We are looking for a dedicated Procurement Intern to join our team in Nairobi. This role is designed for an individual seeking to gain hands-on experience in the procurement and supply chain lifecycle within a professional consultancy environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
Support supplier communication and follow-ups to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
Obtain and compare supplier quotations to identify the best value.
Maintain accurate supplier records and procurement documentation.
Assist in receiving and verifying delivery documents for accuracy.
Support inventory tracking and maintain up-to-date stock records.
Monitor order status and track delivery timelines.
Ensure proper filing of all procurement records and contracts.
Support compliance with established procurement policies and procedures.
Perform any other procurement-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
A Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Basic understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office (especially MS Excel).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
High level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information.
