Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is seeking a Project Manager for the 'Culture of Caring' (CoC) project under the Transformational Investment Capacity (TIC) initiative. The successful candidate will oversee the overall project management, leading the implementation of CoC pilots in at least three missions over 12 months, and ensuring the capitalization of best practices and lessons learned. The manager will be responsible for building awareness and increasing the appetite for improving care culture across the MSF movement, while ensuring shared intersectional ownership of the content. This role is a temporary contract until 31st December 2027.
Responsibilities
Overall Project Management of TIC
Develop a realistic and achievable overall project timeline, track progress, and adjust plans as needed.
Monitor project expenditures to prevent cost overruns.
Support the recruitment of positions associated with the project, including field-level roles.
Create a full package of intervention based on existing materials (assessments, workshops), including follow-up activities, leadership support, change management, and monitoring tools.
Implementation of CoC Pilots
Implement CoC pilots in at least three missions/projects, ensuring real-time cross-fertilization of best practices.
Participate in and deliver Trainings of Facilitators (ToF).
Provide direct and regular mentoring and support to pilot projects.
Facilitate a virtual and in-person community of practice involving pilots, trained facilitators, and subject matter experts.
Capitalize on lessons learned and best practices in real-time to produce materials that improve the CoC package.
Proactively seek opportunities to streamline CoC into the operational ways of working (OCBA).
Collaborate with researchers to define and implement in-depth assessment and monitoring processes to demonstrate the impact of the intervention.
Awareness and Engagement
Collaborate with the MSF Academy, Quality of Care, Nursing, SRH, and Safeguarding platforms.
Integrate Culture of Caring into existing learning streams and platforms.
Conduct regular webinars for MSF staff on specific or generic topics related to the project.
Bring in external knowledge and expertise on the topic.
Sustainability and Knowledge Management
Develop a plan to transfer ownership of the project package to an intersectional platform.
Collaborate with the knowledge management team to develop a repository site for all relevant materials.
Deliver additional Trainings of Facilitators to ensure continuous implementation.
Conditions
Location: OCBA HUB Barcelona or Nairobi.
Contract Duration: Temporary contract until 31st December 2027.
Salary/Conditions: IRP2 Level HQ-4A (divided in monthly payments) + secondary benefits based on MSF OCBA Reward policy.
Expected Starting Date: 15th July 2026.
