This role focuses on transitioning from reactive to proactive, data-driven, and future-fit models, ensuring that the work environment enables peak productivity and innovation.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\nG4G Transformation & Strategy\n- Lead the delivery of G4G transformation across Safety, Workspace, and Wellbeing as a driver of commercial intensity and futuristic thinking.\n- Translate enterprise strategy into fit-for-purpose workplace models that enable productivity and performance.\n- Position Safety and Wellbeing as strategic enablers of business performance, employee experience, and resilience.\n- Drive transformation of workplace and safety practices from reactive to proactive, data-driven, and future-fit models.\n- Embed a high-performance culture across environments, linking safety, wellbeing, and workspace to business outcomes.\n\nAI & Digital-First Safety\n- Embed AI and digital solutions to transition safety management from reactive to predictive and preventive.\n- Leverage real-time data and analytics to identify risks and drive proactive interventions.\n- Introduce intelligent monitoring systems across workplaces to reduce hazardous exposures and automate safety reporting.\n- Integrate safety systems with enterprise digital platforms for seamless visibility and control.\n\nSafety, Health & Wellbeing Strategy & Governance\n- Define and lead the enterprise SHW strategy, institutionalizing a proactive, risk-based safety culture.\n- Establish and enforce enterprise-wide safety governance, standards, and policies aligned to global benchmarks.\n- Lead identification, assessment, and mitigation of safety risks across physical and hybrid environments.\n- Oversee audits, inspections, and compliance reviews across all locations and subsidiaries.\n\nWorkplace Experience & Future Strategy\n- Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end workplace experiences across physical and hybrid environments.\n- Define and implement future workplace strategy aligned to Agile, AI-first, and hybrid ways of working.\n- Drive workplace innovation to support agility, speed, and enterprise productivity.\n- Optimize property footprint and workplace costs while maintaining high standards.\n\nEmployee Wellbeing & Medical Scheme Management\n- Lead enterprise wellbeing strategy, embedding it as a driver of performance and productivity.\n- Oversee medical schemes, ensuring access, quality of care, and cost efficiency.\n- Implement AI-enabled, hyper-personalized medical offerings tailored to diverse employee segments.\n\nAgile & Value Management\n- Enable adoption of agile ways of working within the Safety, Workspace, and Wellbeing function.\n- Lead value optimization across investments, ensuring ROI on workplace and health programs.\n- Manage vendors and partners to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.\n\n### Qualifications and Experience\n- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.\n- Master’s degree in a related discipline is an added advantage.\n- Professional certification in Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is required.\n- Demonstrated experience in leading enterprise-wide safety, health, and workplace functions within a large, complex organization.\n- Strong expertise in safety governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance frameworks.\n- Proven experience in workplace and facilities management, property portfolio oversight, and vendor management.\n- Experience in designing hybrid and future-of-work models.\n- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and healthcare cost optimization.\n- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across HR, Finance, Technology, and Operations.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply via the Safaricom career portal.
