Job Description
The Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA) is a State Corporation established under the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Act, No. 28 of 2013 under the Ministry of Education. We are seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Principal Human Resource Management Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
Providing input in the development of the human resource strategies, policies, and procedures.
Verifying and consolidating information for payroll processing.
Undertaking training needs analysis, projections, and informing on the training programmes.
Providing secretarial services to the Management Advisory Committee.
Ensuring maintenance of Human Resource records in an accurate and timely manner.
Implementing human resource management decisions within existing rules, regulations, and procedures.
Managing the payroll.
Preparing and compiling reports on the implementation of the performance management systems including performance appraisal.
Updating records of staff training and development programs.
Requirements for Appointment
Served for a cumulative period of nine (9) years’ work experience, with three (3) years in the grade of Senior Human Resource Management Officer or in a comparable position in the Public Service or Private Sector.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
OR Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management/Development or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
Registered by the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM);
