Role Overview
We are looking for an HR Coordinator to oversee and manage core Human Resources functions. The ideal candidate will align HR strategies with business objectives, ensure compliance with national labour laws and healthcare regulations, and manage the full employee lifecycle for clinical and non-clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Recruitment & Workforce Planning: Drive the recruitment process, manage staffing requirements, and support clinical and non-clinical team onboarding.
Employee Relations: Manage employee grievances, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and support culture-building initiatives while maintaining a high level of discretion.
Performance Management: Oversee regular evaluations, identify skill gaps, and coordinate training and development programs.
Compliance Management: Maintain complete compliance with national labour laws, healthcare policies, and safety standards.
Compensation and Benefits: Support employee payroll coordination, benefit administration, and retention frameworks.
HRIS and Administration: Maintain the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), perform data analysis, and support management decision-making.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration (HR option), Social Sciences, or a related field.
Professional certification and active registration with IHRM.
Minimum of 3 years’ progressive HR experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role, preferably within healthcare or a regulated environment.
Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR policies, compliance frameworks, and employment regulations, with demonstrated ability to apply them in a healthcare setting.
Proven experience in core HR functional areas including recruitment and workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance management.
Ability to handle employee relations issues, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and support both clinical and non-clinical teams.
Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS), data analysis, and Microsoft Office tools to support reporting and decision-making.
Understanding of healthcare-specific HR dynamics including clinical staffing, regulatory requirements, workplace health and safety, and workforce retention challenges.
High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive employee and organizational information.
Ability to align HR strategy with business objectives, support organizational growth, and drive employee engagement and culture initiatives in a clinic or hospital environment.
