Job Description
The National Legal Aid Service (NLAS) is seeking a qualified Principal Human Resource Management Assistant. This role involves providing guidance on the appropriate application of Human Resource Management matters, coordinating and supervising clerical work, and ensuring the proper implementation of HR policies, regulations, and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Providing guidance on the appropriate application of Human Resource Management matters.
Coordinating and supervising clerical work done in the Section.
Ensuring proper application and interpretation of Human Resource Management policies, regulations, procedures, and systems.
Supervising Human Resource Management activities in appointments, promotions, complement control, and staff development within the framework of existing HR policies and regulations.
Assisting in preparing Agendas for various Human Resource Management Committees.
Assisting in undertaking training needs analysis, projections, and developing training programmes.
Administering performance appraisal, collating, and compiling performance-related data.
Assisting in the preparation of Human Resource related reports.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
At least Twelve (12) years of cumulative work experience, with three (3) years at the grade of Senior Human Resource Management Assistant or in a comparable position in the private or public sector.
Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration (Human Resource Option), or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Certificate in Management Course.
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Remuneration and Salary Scale
This position is under NLAS Grade 5, with a salary scale of KES 128,570 to KES 203,855 per month, plus increments as per standard scales.
