Principal Administrative Officer

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the implementation of administrative policies and procedures within assigned departments.
• Coordinating departmental activities and fostering inter-departmental collaboration.
• Managing administrative staff, including performance reviews and resource allocation.
• Ensuring effective communication between the county government and the public.
• Managing departmental budgets and drafting official administrative reports.
• Ensuring compliance with public service regulations and standards.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Public Administration; Business Administration/Management, Community Development, or any other Social Science from a recognized institution.
• A Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience.
• A Master's degree is considered an added advantage.
