Salary Scale and Terms

• Salary Scale (Job Group H): Ksh. 26,900 rising up to Ksh. 35,380 per month. (Ksh. 26,900 x 1,110 – 28,010 x 1,120 – 29,130 x 1,150 – 30,280 x 1,170 – 31,450 x 1,250 – 32,700 x 1,300 – 34,000 x 1,380 – 35,380 p.m.)

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Receiving, interpreting, and processing prescriptions.
• Recording prescriptions accurately in the pharmacy unit records.
• Pre-packing, repacking, and clearly writing instructions on drug labels.
• Counseling patients effectively on the proper usage and administration of drugs within a pharmacy unit.
• Maintaining comprehensive drug registers and documentation books.
• Conducting monthly stock-taking of drugs and medicinal devices.

Requirements for Appointment

Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen.
• Hold a Diploma in either Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology or an equivalent qualification approved by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board from a recognized institution.
• Possess a Certificate of Enrolment as a Pharmaceutical Technologist awarded by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
• Must have a Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
