As a Parts Field Sales Representative at Inchcape Kenya LTD, you will be responsible for driving the sales of parts, particularly agricultural machinery components (New Holland), in the Kisumu region. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with staff, vendors, and customers while ensuring efficient inventory management and providing technical support to service technicians. You will be instrumental in executing sales growth strategies and regional mapping to enhance market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Collaboration & Communication: Build productive working relationships with fellow employees and assist Service Technicians in determining specific parts requirements.
Customer Service: Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and staff. Inform customers regarding the arrival of special order parts and handle customer enquiries to follow up for sales.
Sales & Merchandising: Apply retailing techniques to sell and display parts and accessories. Upsell parts whenever serving customers and participate in organized company promotions.
Operational Coordination: Coordinate with the Service Department, Sales Department, Body Shop, and others to ensure all parts requests are met efficiently.
Inventory Management: Use parts catalogs to manage inventory, maintain tight control over stock to eliminate delays, and minimize idle or obsolete inventory. Maintain proper filing systems for all relevant paperwork.
Strategic Growth: Evaluate parts accounts and prospects to ensure customer loyalty. Map regions based on purchasing capabilities and execute monthly/quarterly sales growth strategies.
Market Intelligence: Keep up to date with New Holland and competitor products and market rates.
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
At least 2 years of experience in agricultural machinery parts sales with a notable sales record.
Valid Driving License is mandatory.
Customer service training will be an added advantage.
Strong customer focus with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to meet strict deadlines and work both autonomously and within a team.
