Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our software solutions sales across Africa and Asia. This is a hunting role focused on driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building strong relationships—particularly within the public sector. Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue through direct sales by acquiring new logos and expanding the customer base.
- Strategic Prospecting: Prospect and close new enterprise deals within public sector and government accounts.
- Sales Cycle Management: Own the full sales cycle end-to-end: lead generation, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Tender Management: Lead RFP, RFQ, and government tender responses—interpreting requirements, coordinating internal teams, and delivering compelling submissions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with pre-sales and delivery teams to shape technically credible, commercially competitive proposals.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and develop new partnerships.
- Team Leadership: Mentor the sales team, driving performance through regular coaching, strategy reviews, and KPIs.
- Market Expansion: Build strategic partnerships with local and global entities to expand the company’s network and influence in new markets.
- Reporting: Maintain an accurate and healthy pipeline; deliver monthly forecasts and sales reports.
Requirements: Skills and Experience
- Experience: 8-12 years in Enterprise Software Solutions Sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets consistently.
- Market Knowledge: Mandatory experience working as an individual contributor in hunting roles across African markets.
- Sector Expertise: Proven success selling to government or public sector clients in Africa.
- Tender Expertise: Experience in Request for Proposal (RFP) and bidding process, including navigate the bidding process and complex sales cycles.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with specific procurement regulations and procedures applicable to the public sector.
- Leadership: Demonstrated success in building, leading, and motivating high-performing sales teams.
- Analytical Skills: Knowledge of sales administration, competitor analysis, and sales reporting.
- Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as needed within Africa and internationally.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is a plus.
