Bomet University College is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Part-Time Lecturer in Plant Pathology. The successful candidate will be expected to support the University's core mandate of teaching, training, and mentorship of undergraduate and/or postgraduate students. This role involves delivering high-quality lectures, developing course content, conducting student assessments, and contributing to the academic development of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
Support the University's core mandate through teaching, training, and mentorship of students.
Develop and deliver course materials in Plant Pathology.
Assess student performance through assignments, practicals, and examinations.
Guide and mentor students in their academic and research pursuits.
Participate in departmental meetings and academic activities as required.
Requirements for Appointment
Possess a minimum of a PhD degree in the relevant field from a recognized university.
Have at least two (2) years of teaching experience at the university level (evidenced by documentation such as letters of appointment or contracts).
Show evidence of having published in credible refereed journals.
Candidates with foreign academic qualifications must provide recognition and verification certificates from the Commission for University Education (CUE) or the National Qualification Authority (NQA).
