Job Description
MGallery is seeking a dynamic and experienced Outlet Manager to join our team in Nairobi. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlet, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving financial performance. Our hotels are a tapestry of stories, culture, and local essence, and we are looking for a leader who can weave these elements into a distinct hospitality experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of the food and beverage outlet, including staffing levels optimization for daily demands and special events.
Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels and stock control to optimize resources and minimize waste.
Financial Performance: Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability. Prepare and analyze financial reports, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Service Quality: Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service. Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Team Development: Conduct regular team briefings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and service skills. Lead and develop staff members.
Guest Relations: Maintain and update guest history records to facilitate personalized service for repeat customers.
Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Budget Management: Manage the outlet's budget, controlling costs without compromising quality.
Marketing: Implement and monitor promotional activities to drive sales and customer engagement.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Outlet Manager or 5+ years of progressive experience in food and beverage management.
Leadership: Proven track record in team leadership and staff development.
Financial Acumen: Strong skills in budgeting and financial reporting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management, point-of-sale (POS) systems, Microsoft Office suite, and restaurant management software.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of F&B trends, quality standards, and health regulations.
Communication: Fluency in both English and Swahili with excellent interpersonal skills.
Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
