Human Capital Outsourcing Limited is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily manufacturing and production operations in Nairobi. The role involves developing operational strategies, managing budgets, leading production teams, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily manufacturing and production operations.
Develop and implement operational strategies and plans.
Monitor production schedules and output targets.
Optimize production efficiency and resource utilization.
Ensure product quality meets company standards.
Manage inventory, warehousing, and material flow.
Control production costs and operational budgets.
Lead production, maintenance, and warehouse teams.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Monitor equipment performance and maintenance schedules.
Coordinate procurement and production planning activities.
Prepare operational reports and performance dashboards.
Analyze production data and recommend improvements.
Drive productivity, quality, and waste reduction initiatives.
Develop and mentor departmental supervisors and staff.
Collaborate with sales, finance, procurement, and logistics teams.
Ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Minimum of seven years' experience in manufacturing operations.
At least three years in a managerial role.
Proven experience managing production teams and factory operations.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement principles.
Experience with ERP systems and production planning software.
Knowledge of quality management systems and ISO standards.
MBA or relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
