The Mountain Region Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all sales operations in terms of sales, debt management, customer relationships, and market growth initiatives. The primary objective is to ensure the Kenchic brand remains strong and value is continuously delivered to customers within the Mountain Region. The role requires strategic foresight in generating sales forecasts, implementing market penetration strategies, and leading a high-performing field sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Forecasting: Develop and manage the execution of the PC sales strategy, including generating sales forecasts and initiatives to achieve targets.
Debt Management: Oversee debts incurred during sales, maintaining an agreeable number of debtor days through strict implementation of debt management initiatives as per company-customer agreements.
Market Growth: Drive growth and profitability by implementing market development strategies in untapped segments and market penetration strategies in existing markets.
Distribution & Planning: Oversee trade coverage plans and marketing/distribution strategies for the Mountain Region. Coordinate regional demand planning by trade area and territory.
Reporting: Prepare and oversee daily, weekly, and quarterly reports, generating recommendations to aid decision-making.
Market Intelligence: Lead intelligence initiatives and develop action plans for business performance improvement and field sales force effectiveness.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team on sales, promotional, and merchandising activities.
Compliance: Enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing sales team.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the FMCG sector, with at least 2 years in a people management role.
Proven ability and experience in leading high-performance sales teams.
Sound understanding of international food safety standards (added advantage).
Experience using a CRM system (added advantage).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for business analysis.
Demonstrable commercial awareness.
