Job Description
The Mortgage Lead Generator role is focused on delivering exceptional sales performance by identifying and meeting customer needs through the selling and cross-selling of all Absa Bank Retail products and services. The role involves direct hands-on sales support, managing customer queries, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policy standards.
Responsibilities
Sales to Retail Customers (60%)
Identify and meet customer needs through selling and cross-selling of all Absa Bank Retail products.
Provide direct sales support by generating quality leads and following up to convert them into sales.
Participate in product campaigns and ensure products are clearly explained to customers.
Meet and exceed targets for specific sales campaigns and manage personal sales targets.
Refer specialist product help (e.g., Mortgages) to the appropriate area when uncertain about product delivery.
Complete account opening documentation and submit to the Line Manager for review.
Perform financial analysis and statement reviews for customers applying for loans.
Inform customers of loan application status and provide branch contact information.
Customer Service (15%)
Manage customer queries and complaints regarding account opening and loan applications, resolving them timely.
Build relationships with internal service providers (Operations and KYC Helpdesk) for quick turnaround.
Advise customers on loan approvals and encourage draw-downs.
Open scheme loan accounts referred by Relationship Managers.
Operational Rigour, Compliance, and Controls (15%)
Compliance with regulatory requirements, Risk Management Framework, and internal Absa Policies.
Ensure accuracy of all account applications, loan documents, and customer records.
