Job Description
The County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Member of the County Public Service Board. This role is essential for the management and oversight of the county's public service, ensuring the workforce is managed efficiently and in accordance with the law. The successful candidate will participate in high-level decision-making regarding personnel, policy formulation, and the promotion of constitutional values within the public service.
Responsibilities
Regularly attend and participate in board meetings and committee meetings where applicable.
Read, review, and make decisions on requests, board minutes, annual reports, other reports, plans, and policies presented before the board.
Promote the values and principles referred to in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya within the County Public Service Board.
Perform duties as per Section 59 of the County Government Act.
Perform any other duty as assigned by the Chairperson from time to time.
Requirements for Appointment
Be a Kenyan Citizen.
Be a holder of at least a first degree from a recognized University (A Master's degree in Human Resource Management / Business Administration / Public Administration will be an added advantage).
Have knowledge and work experience of not less than five (5) years. (Experience in Human Resource Management and Administration is an added advantage).
Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity.
Understand the diversity of the County.
Capacity to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
Be committed to being part of a team that enables the County Government to achieve its goals.
Be a professional who demonstrates absence of breach of the relevant professional code of conduct.
Must be I.C.T proficient.

Type: Contract
Salary: As recommended by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
