Job Description
Career Options Africa Ltd is seeking a Business Development Associate to provide comprehensive Human Capital support. Although the title mentions Business Development, the role is strictly focused on HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, and compliance management. The successful candidate will coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, manage employee lifecycles, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and external standards such as BBBEE and SHEQ.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Selection
Coordinate the full recruitment cycle from job requisition to appointment.
Ensure compliance with policy requirements and maintain vacancy tracking reports.
Facilitate background checks, medicals, and assessments.
Manage recruitment documentation and system updates.
Onboarding and Induction
Coordinate and deliver onboarding for new employees, specifically supporting AECI Plant Health South Africa.
Ensure onboarding packs are completed accurately and on time.
Guide Line Management on best-practice induction standards.
Administration
Administer employee expense floats and coordinate payroll deductions.
Manage employee fleet cards, including applications, records, and compliance monitoring.
Coordinate the exit process for resignations, retirements, and terminations, including asset recovery and final calculations.
Payroll Support
Prepare and verify monthly payroll submissions.
Resolve discrepancies in Salary Variance Reports.
Manage outsourced contractor and labour broker payroll processes.
Compliance and General HR
Act as the first point of contact for Human Capital operational queries.
Maintain data integrity across all HC systems.
Manage BBBEE data and compliance requirements, serving as the primary contact during audits.
Ensure adherence to SHEQ standards and participate in audits.
Raise purchase requisitions for HC-related activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Grade 12 with a Human Capital-related tertiary qualification (Diploma, BA, BSc, or HND).
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in Human Capital administration or coordination.
Skills: Proven ability to work autonomously with a strong commitment to confidentiality and governance.
