We are seeking a dedicated Meetinghouse Facilities Manager / Mission Facilities Supervisor to oversee the operations and maintenance of our facilities in Nairobi. The role is critical in ensuring that church buildings and missionary residences are safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
Planning and Implementation: Prepare and implement the annual operations and maintenance plan for all assigned facilities.
Project Management: Scope building renovation projects with the assistance of the project manager and regularly inspect facilities to ensure they meet approved standards.
Resource Coordination: Manage internal staff, external contractors, and vendors to execute the annual plan effectively.
Vendor Oversight: Secure contractors and vendors, ensuring that their work and services meet established specifications.
Communication: Maintain frequent communication with customers, employees, vendors, and contractors to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Mission Support: Coordinate directly with the mission president to ensure missionary facility needs are being met.
Lease and Fleet Management: Negotiate apartment leases and renewals; support the fleet department by overseeing vehicle needs within the mission.
Service Quality: Field requests, assign tasks to vendors, and verify that completed work meets all quality specifications.
Supervision: Manage mission drivers or home attendants and conduct monthly inspections of all facilities.
Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc) or a Higher National Diploma (HND).
Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage maintenance plans and building renovation projects.
Managerial Skills: Experience in managing staff, vendors, and diverse resource teams.
Negotiation: Strong skills in lease negotiation and contract management.
Standards: A firm commitment to maintaining safety and operational compliance standards.
