Harley’s Limited, a leading distributor of healthcare and pharmaceutical products registered in 1953, is seeking a Medical Representative for their Pharmaceuticals division in Kisumu. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to existing and prospective customers, achieving sales targets, and maintaining excellence in service through informed clinical discussions and industry awareness. You will manage customer accounts, conduct scheduled visits, and provide comprehensive reporting on market intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing: Promote and sell pharmaceutical products to existing and prospective customers, achieve sales targets, track performance, and identify customer needs.
Service Excellence: Stay updated on clinical data, industry trends, and health sector developments to conduct informed discussions and adapt strategies.
Customer Service: Conduct scheduled customer visits, manage accounts, obtain orders, assist with payments, and resolve complaints effectively.
Reporting: Submit timely sales and market intelligence reports, including daily calls, weekly plans, and monthly summaries.
Adaptability & Support: Show initiative and flexibility by embracing change and supporting additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a Science-related course. A Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or a relevant field is an added advantage.
Experience: A minimum of 1.5–3 years of field sales experience in the healthcare industry.
Product Knowledge: Previous experience in pharmaceutical product marketing is preferable.
Leadership: Proven ability to coach and motivate a sales force.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage vendors and internal stakeholders professionally and resolve issues collaboratively.
