Requirements for Appointment

To be eligible for appointment, a candidate must:

• Be a holder of a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any other equivalent qualifications from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
• Possess a Registration certificate and a valid practicing license issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians & Technologists Board.
• Have a certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Collecting and receiving biological specimens for analysis.
• Performing laboratory diagnostic tests in areas such as hematology, blood transfusion, histology, and clinical chemistry.
• Preparing reagents and maintaining laboratory equipment.
• Recording and managing laboratory data and results.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality control protocols within the laboratory environment.
