Job Description
Embu County Government is seeking to recruit seven (7) Medical Laboratory Technologists III. This is a crucial role within the county's healthcare system, responsible for conducting various laboratory tests and procedures to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and disease management.
Responsibilities
Collecting and preparing biological specimens for analysis.
Performing routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests such as blood counts, urinalysis, and chemical analysis.
Operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
Recording and interpreting test results accurately and promptly.
Maintaining a sterile and safe laboratory environment in accordance with health regulations.
Ensuring adherence to quality control and safety protocols within the laboratory.
Maintaining accurate patient records and laboratory documentation.
Requirements
Applicants must possess the following:
A Degree (BA/BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Medical Laboratory Sciences or a relevant field.
Valid registration and a practicing license from the relevant regulatory body (e.g., KMLTTB).
National Identity Card.
Academic and Professional Certificates and Testimonials.
Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (required for shortlisted candidates).
