Missions of Hope International (MOHI) is a Christ-centered, non-governmental organization that serves orphaned and vulnerable children, their families, and others in the Mathare Valley slums of Nairobi and other disadvantaged communities throughout Kenya. We are seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist to provide essential diagnostic services to our community members.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct medical laboratory tests and procedures to support clinical diagnosis and patient care.
Perform specialized testing in the areas of haematology, biochemistry, and microbiology.
Provide Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) services to clients.
Ensure accuracy and efficiency in laboratory operations while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure reliable test results.
Maintain accurate records of laboratory tests and results.
Qualifications and Requirements
Must possess a Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
Must hold a current valid practicing license from KMLTTB.
A certificate in Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) from a recognized institution is required.
At least 3 years of practical experience in haematology, biochemistry, and microbiology.
