The County Government of Kitui is recruiting qualified individuals for the position of Medical Engineering Technologist III, to be employed under Permanent and Pensionable Terms of Service. This role is crucial for maintaining essential medical infrastructure and equipment within county health facilities.
Salary Scale and Terms of Service
The position offers a structured salary progression:
Salary Scale: Ksh. 26,900 x 1,110 – 28,010 x 1,120 – 29,130 x 1,150 – 30,280 x 1,170 – 31,450 x 1,250 – 32,700 x 1,300 – 34,000 x 1,380 – 35,380 per month.
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for the Medical Engineering Technologist III include:
Undertaking routine maintenance and repairs of basic medical equipment, plants, and utilities in a health facility.
Collecting information for research purposes.
Collecting information on medical engineering services for input into the integrated Health Information Management System.
Implementing medical engineering programmes and projects.
Requirements for Appointment
Candidates must satisfy the following criteria:
Be a Kenyan Citizen.
Hold a Diploma in Medical Engineering or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Possess a Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
