Job Description
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing annual marketing strategies to align with business objectives within the agriculture sector. This role involves comprehensive brand management, market intelligence gathering, and supporting sales growth through targeted promotional activities and digital marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement annual marketing plans aligned with business objectives.
Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
Analyze competitor activities, pricing, and positioning strategies.
Develop product positioning and value propositions for different market segments.
Brand Management and Promotion
Oversee branding and ensure consistent corporate identity across all platforms.
Plan and execute advertising and promotional campaigns.
Coordinate participation in agricultural exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry events.
Develop marketing materials including brochures, catalogues, and digital content.
Sales Support and Revenue Growth
Work closely with the sales team to achieve revenue and volume targets.
Develop pricing strategies based on cost analysis and market conditions.
Support distribution expansion into new regions and export markets.
Monitor sales performance and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
Digital Marketing and Communication
Manage the company’s website and social media platforms.
Implement digital marketing campaigns to enhance product visibility.
Track campaign performance metrics and return on investment (ROI).
Maintain customer databases and oversee CRM systems.
Market Intelligence and Reporting
Gather customer feedback and market insights to guide strategy.
Monitor competitor products and promotional activities.
Prepare weekly and monthly marketing performance reports.
Provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Agribusiness, Business Administration, or related field.
Professional marketing qualification.
Minimum 5–8 years’ marketing experience.
At least 3 years in a managerial role.
Experience in agriculture, agribusiness, or FMCG preferred.
