This position is responsible for driving the growth, outreach, and sustainability of the Almasi women banking program at National Bank - Amanah. The role involves delivering Shariah-compliant financial and non-financial solutions tailored to women entrepreneurs and clients, deepening financial inclusion, and strengthening the Bank’s position in the women market segment.
Key Responsibilities
Product Rollout & Management: Execute and manage the rollout of the Almasi suite of products, including asset financing, unsecured hybrid SME financing, mortgage finance, construction finance, and trade financing.
Product Customization: Guide product customization to ensure the needs of women entrepreneurs are met while preserving Shariah compliance.
Non-Financial Services: Promote non-financial services such as advisory, capacity-building workshops, networking, and procurement readiness programs.
Business Development: Identify, segment, and onboard women business owners and women-involved enterprises (≥ 50% women shareholding or management) as per Almasi eligibility criteria.
Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with women’s groups, associations, NGOs, and development partners to source leads.
External Representation: Represent the bank in women entrepreneurship events, exhibitions, and the Almasi marketplace.
Procurement Support: Support procurement readiness of women-owned firms to access supply opportunities with the bank (20% procurement allocation).
Credit Analysis: Assess financing proposals from women-owned/managed businesses, covering credit analysis, collateral, and structuring.
Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor repayment performance, delinquency, and recovery while ensuring compliance with credit policy, risk guidelines, and Shariah principles.
Customer Service: Deliver high service standards, including dedicated Almasi teller counters, and serve as a specialist contact for resolving inquiries and complaints.
Internal Training: Train branch staff, sales teams, and relationship officers on the Almasi proposition and gender-sensitive customer service.
Reporting & Insights: Prepare performance reports, dashboards, and forecasts. Monitor gender-tagged MIS data and use market research to identify gaps for product enhancements.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to Shariah advisory rulings, internal compliance, risk, and legal protocols.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Islamic Finance, Business Administration, or a business-related field from a recognized University.
Professional Certification: Certification in Islamic Finance is an added advantage.
Experience: A minimum of 7 years’ experience in retail banking, SME banking, or women/inclusive finance, with at least 3 years in Relationship Management.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Shariah-compliant financing instruments and experience in credit evaluation.
Core Competencies: Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.
Attributes: Integrity, ethical orientation, customer empathy, and a target-driven mindset.
Digital Literacy: Proficiency in banking systems, data analytics, and CRM tools.
