About the Role
The LPG Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales, improving Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), reducing asset losses, and managing LPG Sales Agents in their assigned area. Reporting to the LPG Regional Sales Manager, the ASM ensures operational execution is efficient by working closely with the operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management
Recruit, train, and retain LPG Sales Agents.
Coach agents to meet sales targets, manage consumption (ARPU), and deliver excellent customer service.
Operational Coordination
Work with the operations team to ensure installations, exchanges, and other services are completed within 24 hours.
Monitor Retail Associates (RAs) and Installation Coordinators (ICs) to ensure they perform their duties as expected.
Stock & Inventory Management
Ensure sufficient cylinders, stoves, and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCDs) are available at depots.
Conduct periodic stock audits and resolve potential shortages.
Customer & Field Engagement
Support field teams in addressing customer issues promptly.
Conduct market activations, community outreach, and group sales initiatives to drive adoption.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
Provide daily, weekly, and monthly updates to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) on sales, ARPU, agent recruitment, asset loss, and stock levels.
Conduct weekly review meetings (Table Meetings) with Sales Agents to track performance and recognize top performers.
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; a Degree is preferred.
At least 3 years of field sales experience, preferably in LPG, FMCG, Micro-Finance, or Telecom.
Strong leadership, team-building, and operational management skills.
Proven ability to recruit, train, and retain high-performing teams.
Self-driven, process-oriented, and able to work independently.
Passionate about clean energy and providing safe, affordable LPG solutions.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
