Our client, a distinguished law firm specializing in a wide range of legal services including corporate law, family law, and dispute resolution, is seeking to hire a Litigation Advocate. This role requires an experienced professional to handle litigation matters and represent clients effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing clients in court proceedings, drafting legal documents, and providing expert legal opinions.
Responsibilities
Representing clients in court proceedings and hearings.
Drafting legal documents, pleadings, and affidavits.
Conducting comprehensive legal research and providing legal opinions.
Managing a diverse portfolio of litigation cases from inception to trial.
Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
Maintaining high standards of professionalism and client confidentiality.
Working with minimum or no supervision while also being a team player.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current Practicing Certificate.
At least 5 years of post-admission working experience in a busy law firm.
BA/BSc/HND qualification in Law.
Computer literate.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and have the ability to handle pressure.
Be a person of unquestionable integrity with a high sense of professionalism.
Proactive, self-motivated, and aggressive in representing client interests.
Ready to work and be stationed in Nairobi.
Compensation
Salary Range: KES 80,000 – 142,000 (negotiable based on candidate experience and fitness for the job).
