As the Life Area Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for driving individual life business top-line and bottom-line growth while providing customer-centric service to policyholders and claimants in the Nakuru Branch office. The role involves leading sales teams, managing branch operations, and ensuring brand growth within the region.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead and manage sales teams to maximize profitability and shareholder value through sustainable business growth while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
Office Administration: Oversee branch administration and ensure compliance with both County and National Government regulations.
Market Intelligence: Gather intelligence on future market trends to improve service and product offerings while monitoring competition.
Staff Development: Coach, mentor, develop, train, and motivate the sales team and staff to achieve peak performance levels.
Brand Awareness: Plan and drive brand penetration to grow market share within the region.
Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
Budgeting: Prepare, monitor, and report on Life business budgetary allocations for the Nakuru Branch.
Communication: Lead and manage all Life business-related communication at the branch level.
Process Improvement: Identify, implement, and benchmark best practices in management.
Client Support: Ensure exceptional customer service for both internal and external clients, supporting agency management.
Change Management: Implement change initiatives to achieve desired business plans and organizational culture.
Intermediary Management: Recruit, train, develop, and retain intermediaries and alternative sales channels.
Requirements and Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in any business-related field.
Qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in insurance.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry.
Prior work experience in Marketing of Life Business products within the region is an added advantage.
