The Life Area Marketing Manager for the Jeevan Bharati branch in Nairobi is responsible for driving the top-line and bottom-line growth of individual life business. The job holder will focus on providing customer-centric service to policyholders and claimants while ensuring sustainable business growth through effective team leadership and brand strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Profitability: Lead and manage sales teams to maximize profitability and shareholder value through business growth and sustainability.
Branch Management: Oversee office administration and ensure full compliance with both County and National Government regulations.
Market Intelligence: Collect market intelligence on future trends to improve service and product offerings while monitoring competition.
Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, develop, train, and motivate sales teams and staff to achieve high performance levels at the Jeevan Bharati Branch.
Brand Awareness: Plan and drive brand awareness and market penetration to grow market share (focusing on Jeevan Bharati and regional penetration).
Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory and statutory requirements.
Financial Oversight: Prepare, monitor, and report on the Life business budgetary allocations for the branch.
Communication: Lead and manage all Life business-related communications within the branch.
Performance Improvement: Identify and implement management best practices and benchmarking.
Customer Support: Ensure excellent customer service for both internal and external clients, supporting agency management.
Change Management: Implement change initiatives to achieve business plans and desired corporate culture.
Intermediary Management: Recruit, train, develop, and retain intermediaries and alternative distribution channels.
Requirements and Qualifications
An undergraduate degree in any business-related field.
Professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Insurance.
At least 5 years of relevant experience within the insurance industry.
Work experience in marketing Life Business products within the specific region is a distinct advantage.
