The Life Area Marketing Manager at Kenindia Assurance Company Limited is responsible for driving individual life business growth, both top-line and bottom-line, while providing customer-centric service to policyholders and claimants within the Jeevan Bharati Branch office in Nairobi. This role involves leading sales teams, managing branch administration, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Principal Accountabilities
Sales Leadership: Leading and managing sales teams to maximize profitability and shareholder value through sustainable business growth while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
Administration: Executing office administration tasks and ensuring full compliance with both County and National Government regulations.
Market Intelligence: Gathering market intelligence on future trends to improve product offerings and service delivery while monitoring competitive activity.
Staff Development: Coaching, mentoring, training, and motivating the sales team and staff to achieve peak performance levels.
Brand Awareness: Planning and executing brand awareness strategies to grow market share, with a particular focus on the Western Region penetration.
Compliance & Budgeting: Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing the Life business budgetary allocations at the branch level.
Communication: Leading all Life business-related communications at the branch.
Best Practices: Identifying and benchmarking management best practices and implementing change initiatives to align with business plans.
Intermediary Management: Recruiting, training, and retaining intermediaries and managing alternative distribution channels.
Minimum Qualifications - Knowledge and Experience
Undergraduate degree in any business-related field.
Professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Insurance.
At least 5 years of relevant insurance experience.
Previous experience in marketing Life Business products within the region is considered an added advantage.
