Railway Training Institute (RTI) is seeking qualified individuals to serve as Part-Time Lecturers in the Business Management department. RTI is one of the oldest training institutions in the East African Region, originally established in 1956 to develop human resources for the East African Railways and Harbours. Successful candidates will be placed in the Institute's database and engaged on an as-needed basis to deliver curriculum content, conduct assessments, and maintain high academic standards within the TVET framework.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures and tutorials in Business Management and related subjects.
Prepare comprehensive lesson plans and course materials.
Evaluate student performance through tests, examinations, and assignments.
Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and progress reports.
Comply with TVET standards and institutional academic policies.
Provide professional guidance and mentorship to students.
Mandatory Requirements
Academic Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a relevant field from a recognized university.
Pedagogical Training: A Degree in Education, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), or a Diploma in Technical Education / Instructors’ Training Course.
Professional Standing: Active registration and/or membership with a relevant professional body.
Accreditation: Must possess valid TVET accreditation.
Experience: A minimum of four (4) years’ teaching or relevant industry experience at a comparable level.
Additional Information
This is not a permanent or contract employment recruitment. Engagement is strictly on a need basis.
