Kibabii University is a public university in Kenya located in Bungoma County. We are seeking a Lecturer/Research Fellow in the field of Midwifery to join our academic team. The role entails academic instruction, leading research initiatives, and contributing to the university's academic excellence through publication and curriculum development.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lecturing in the area of specialization in accordance with the syllabus.
Coordinating course projects and practical work.
Preparing teaching and learning materials.
Setting, invigilating, and marking examinations and assignments.
Carrying out independent or collaborative research work in the relevant field.
Preparing students' progress reports and academic assessments.
Developing proposals for research funding.
Writing journal articles, books, and educational modules.
Presenting academic papers in conferences, seminars, workshops, or symposia.
Developing and reviewing academic programmes and curricula.
Requirements for Appointment
PhD or equivalent degree qualification (or a Master's degree qualification in special cases) in Midwifery or a relevant area from a recognized/accredited University.
A minimum of 24 publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) must be from refereed journal papers.
Must be registered or registerable with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
