Lecturer Psychiatry

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and assess courses in medical physiology to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Supervise postgraduate students' academic and research progress.
• Initiate, promote, and participate in research projects.
• Attend and participate in seminars, workshops, and conferences in relevant fields.
• Participate in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of curricula within the department.
• Participate in departmental and School Board meetings and other activities.
• Conduct community service and initiate linkages with external stakeholders.
• Perform any other official duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• A relevant Bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized University.
• A Master's degree or its equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized University/College is mandatory.
• A PhD in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred.
• Must be registered by a relevant professional body.
• Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Kenyan Constitution.
