Kisii University is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Psychiatry to join the faculty. The role involves teaching, research, and community engagement to advance the university's mission of providing high-quality human resources for the country and international labor market. The successful candidate will be responsible for academic delivery, student mentorship, and contributing to the growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
Teach and assess courses in medical physiology to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Supervise postgraduate students' academic and research progress.
Initiate, promote, and participate in research projects.
Attend and participate in seminars, workshops, and conferences in relevant fields.
Participate in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of curricula within the department.
Participate in departmental and School Board meetings and other activities.
Conduct community service and initiate linkages with external stakeholders.
Perform any other official duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience
A relevant Bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized University.
A Master's degree or its equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized University/College is mandatory.
A PhD in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
Previous teaching experience is preferred.
Must be registered by a relevant professional body.
Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Kenyan Constitution.
