Murang’a University of Technology (MUT) is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Lecturer in Philosophy of Education. The successful candidate will contribute to the university’s academic mission through teaching, research, and professional engagement. The University is located 1.5 km from Murang’a Town in Murang’a County.
Responsibilities
Deliver lectures and facilitate learning in Philosophy of Education.
Conduct original research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Develop and review academic curricula in line with institutional and industry standards.
Supervise students' research projects and theses.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to university administrative functions.
Engage in community outreach and professional development activities.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria for Lecturer Grade 12:
Have an earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in Philosophy of Education or a relevant field from an accredited and recognized university.
Must be registered or registerable by the relevant professional body (where applicable).
OR Have a Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university (in special cases) with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level.
Have a minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points; at least sixteen (16) of them from referred journal papers.
Be registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
