Kenyatta University, a leading multi-campus public university in Kenya, is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Lecturer in Health Information Management. The successful candidate will join the academic staff to deliver high-quality instruction, conduct impactful research, and contribute to the university's academic excellence in the field of health informatics and management.
Responsibilities
Delivering quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Health Information Management.
Developing and reviewing course materials and curricula to meet industry and academic standards.
Conducting research and publishing findings in recognized scholarly journals.
Attending and contributing to learned conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Participating in departmental activities and university service.
Engaging with the Health Records and Information Managers Board to ensure professional alignment.
Requirements
An earned PhD degree in Health Information Management or a related field from an accredited and recognized university.
A Master's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field from an accredited and recognized university.
At least four (4) years of teaching experience at the university level.
Minimum of four (4) equivalent publication points.
Must be registered by the Health Records and Information Managers Board.
Demonstrated evidence of good quality teaching.
Evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.
