Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU) is seeking a qualified and dedicated Lecturer (Grade 12) specializing in Information Technology. The role involves contributing to the university's academic excellence through teaching, innovative research, and holistic development. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality instruction, participate in scholarly activities, and engage in community service to support the institution's mission.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver lectures and practical sessions in Information Technology and related disciplines.
Conduct original research and contribute to the university's research innovation goals.
Publish scholarly work in refereed journals to maintain academic standards.
Develop and review academic curricula to stay current with industry trends.
Provide mentorship and supervision to students in their academic and research pursuits.
Participate in community service and outreach programs as a representative of the university.
Contribute to departmental and university-wide administrative duties as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in Information Technology or a relevant field from an accredited and recognized University. OR
A Master's degree qualification in special cases with at least 3 years of university teaching experience or significant research in a relevant area.
Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
A minimum of twenty-four (24) academic publications, including at least sixteen (16) papers in refereed journals.
Demonstrable evidence of involvement in community service.
For candidates from research institutions, practice, or industry, must meet the minimum point requirements for their respective subcategory to qualify for appointment.
