Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU) is a public-spirited center of excellence established in 2015 to make distinctive contributions to society in teaching, research innovation, and holistic development. The University is seeking a qualified academic professional for the position of Lecturer, Grade 12, specializing in Curriculum & Instruction. The successful candidate will contribute to the university's mission through high-quality instruction, conducting impactful research, and participating in community service.
Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in the field of Curriculum and Instruction.
Conduct advanced academic research and publish findings in reputable refereed journals.
Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
Participate in curriculum development and review processes to ensure academic standards are maintained.
Engage in community service and university outreach programs.
Fulfill administrative duties as assigned by the department or faculty.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for appointment to this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications:
An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized University.
OR Have a Master's degree qualification (in special cases) with at least three (3) years of university teaching experience or research in a relevant area.
Professional Standing: Must be registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
Research and Publications: Have a minimum of twenty-four (24) publications, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed journal papers.
Community Service: Must show clear evidence of engagement in community service.
Industry/Research Applicants: Persons from research institutions, practice, or industry must meet the minimum point requirements for their respective subcategory to qualify for appointment.
