Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU) is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced academic professional for the position of Lecturer (Grade 12) in the field of Accounting & Finance. Established as a center of excellence, the University is dedicated to teaching, research innovation, and holistic development. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the academic excellence of the institution through instruction, scholarly research, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures and tutorials in Accounting and Finance at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Conduct original research and publish findings in reputable refereed journals.
Participate in curriculum development and review to maintain high academic standards.
Provide academic mentorship and supervise student research projects and theses.
Participate in community service and university administrative committees.
Contribute to the development of the university through research innovation and public-spirited initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field (Accounting/Finance) from an accredited and recognized University.
Alternative Education: Applicants with a Master’s degree qualification in special cases with at least 3 years of university teaching experience or research in the relevant area may be considered.
Professional Registration: Must be registered with the relevant professional body (e.g., ICPAK) where applicable.
Research and Publications: A minimum of twenty-four (24) publications, with at least sixteen (16) from refereed journal papers.
Community Service: Must show clear evidence of community service.
Industry Candidates: Persons from research institutions, practice, or industry must meet the minimum point requirements for their respective subcategory to qualify for appointment.
