Lecturer Clinical Medicine

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and assess courses in medical physiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Supervise postgraduate students in their research work.
• Initiate, promote, and participate in research projects.
• Attend and contribute to seminars, workshops, and conferences.
• Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of departmental curricula.
• Engage in departmental and School Board meetings and other administrative tasks.
• Conduct community service and establish professional linkages.
• Execute any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

• Proficient in computer skills and adaptable to technological changes.
• Self-motivated, highly disciplined, and capable of managing ambiguity.
• Excellent command of the subject area with strong lesson planning abilities.
• Strong communication, listening, and mediation skills.
• Proven ability in fundraising, grant writing, and research publication.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• A relevant Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized University.
• A Master’s degree or its equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized University/College is mandatory.
• A PhD in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred.
• Must be registered by a relevant professional body.
• Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Kenyan Constitution.
