Lecturer - Anatomy

Job Purpose

The Lecturer will be responsible for providing academic leadership in the field of Anatomy, conducting research, and delivering high-quality instruction to students in health sciences and related programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and facilitate practical laboratory sessions in Anatomy for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Conduct original research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• Supervise student research projects and theses.
• Participate in the development and review of the academic curriculum.
• Contribute to administrative duties within the department and university committees.
• Mentor students and provide academic guidance.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet either of the following criteria:

• An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in Anatomy or a relevant field from an accredited and recognized university, and be registered or registerable by the relevant professional body (where applicable). OR
• A Master’s degree in Anatomy or a relevant field from an accredited and recognized university (in special cases) with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at university level.

In addition to the above, applicants must have:

• A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points, with at least sixteen (16) of them from refereed journal papers.
• Registration with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
