Food for Education (F4E) is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 that provides subsidized school meals to over 15,000 children in public schools daily, with an ambitious goal of feeding 1,000,000 children by 2025. As a Learning Experience Designer, you will play a hands-on role in strengthening internal operational learning while leading the development of learning materials for F4E’s Centre of Excellence. This role directly impacts internal operations and supports the launch of the Centre of Excellence.
Core Responsibilities
Knowledge Capture (30%)
Work with functional teams to document standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and processes.
Support functional leads by guiding the format in which knowledge is captured to ensure its usability.
Learning Design (70%)
Transform documented knowledge into training content (courses, videos, guides) for internal staff and external stakeholders.
Lead the entire learning design process using internal knowledge assets as inputs.
Key Duties
End-to-end Learning Experience Design: Apply learning science principles to develop knowledge artifacts and learning initiatives that enhance staff performance.
Content Creation: Develop clear, practical, accessible, and jargon-free content in various formats (text, video, diagrams) for staff of all levels.
LMS Selection & Management: Support the design and implementation of the Learning Management System (LMS) in collaboration with tech and L&D teams.
Evaluation: Implement Embedded Impact and Learning (EIL) feedback loops to continuously improve content based on performance metrics.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with subject matter experts to extract relevant information for developing learning assets.
Qualifications and Experience
At least 4 years of experience in instructional design, experience design, or a related role.
Proven experience in creating clear, practical, and engaging educational content and developing programs end-to-end.
Ability to develop content in multiple formats (text, video, images, etc.).
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and relevant learning technologies.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) is required.
Experience working in large organizations with field staff on-ground is an added advantage.
