Equity Afia is a group of qualified and experienced doctors who have come together as a network of medical entrepreneurs with the aim of providing high quality, affordable and accessible healthcare to the majority of Kenyans. The Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for conducting diagnostic tests, maintaining laboratory quality standards, and supporting clinical operations at the Pangani branch.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform various medical laboratory diagnostic tests and procedures.
Ensure laboratory operations align with Quality Management Systems (QMS) initiatives.
Utilize Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) for data entry and reporting.
Lead medical laboratory teams and manage staff effectively.
Oversee clinical operations and resource management within the laboratory.
Handle budgeting, project management, and report writing as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
Degree in Laboratory Sciences or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
At least three (3) years of relevant working experience.
Must be registered and possess a valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
Trained and must demonstrate a strong understanding of Laboratory Quality Management Systems (QMS) initiatives.
Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Health Management Information Systems (HMIS).
Training or certification in hospital administration, public health, or emergency care is desirable.
