The Island Room Manager oversees the daily operations of the Island Room, including food service, beverage operations, recreation, and entertainment activities. The role ensures exceptional customer service and seamless execution of services in accordance with contractual and performance requirements.\n\n### Responsibilities\n- Manage the daily operations of the Island Room, including food, beverage, recreation, and entertainment activities.\n- Develop and oversee operational processes and standards to maintain efficiency and high-quality service.\n- Supervise and lead staff, providing training and mentoring to ensure high-performance outcomes.\n- Coordinate the planning and execution of recreational events and activities to engage and cater to the needs of patrons.\n- Ensure the Island Room maintains a welcoming, organized, and safe environment that meets guest expectations.\n- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines for food and beverage service operations.\n- Monitor food and beverage costs and manage budgets to ensure alignment with financial goals.\n- Develop and maintain an efficient scheduling system for staff coverage and daily operations.\n- Coordinate with vendors for the timely ordering of food, beverages, and other supplies.\n- Liaise with government representatives and other stakeholders to address concerns and accommodate special events.\n- Analyze customer feedback and develop action plans to improve services and operations.\n- Ensure proper handling of emergencies or contingencies, with the ability to be on-site within one hour of notification.\n- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports related to operations, staffing, customer experience, and inventory management.\n\n### Requirements\n- A four-year degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, food and beverage management, hospitality, or a related field.\n- OR a minimum of three years of general business management experience in recreation, food and beverage, and entertainment operations, equivalent to education qualifications.\n- In addition to the above, at least five (5) years of specialized experience as a middle manager in a similar civilian commercial business capacity is required.\n- In-depth knowledge and proven experience in managing food service, beverage, entertainment, and recreation operations.\n- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with experience supervising staff and effectively delegating responsibilities.\n- Proven ability to oversee operational budgets, control expenses, and achieve financial performance targets.\n- Excellent customer service and communication skills.\n- Ability to organize recreational programs and coordinate special events.\n- Knowledge of safety and health standards applicable to food service and general hospitality operations.\n- Working knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems, financial reports, and inventory control software.\n- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to work under pressure.\n- Possession of a valid passport (minimum 1 year validity) and ability to travel internationally.\n- Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online through the Amentum application portal provided below:
