Job Description
Amentum is seeking a professional Baker to join our team. The Baker is responsible for preparing bakery menu items according to established recipes in a regular and consistent manner to ensure food quality standards are consistently met. This role requires a high degree of precision, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to maintain a clean and sanitized workspace within a high-standard food service environment.
Job Responsibilities
Check and ensure that all bakery products are consistently prepared at the highest quality standards.
Utilize standardized recipes for all baking and preparation tasks.
Use weights and measures to precisely adjust and scale ingredients in recipes.
Maintain excellent personal hygiene and ensure the work area is kept clean and sanitized at all times.
Oversee other staff members and manage production in the absence of the Head Baker.
Record production levels and waste metrics on a regular and consistent basis.
Accurately complete required daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning lists.
Ensure that all food preparation is completed and ready for the next shift.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the food service operations.
Minimum Requirements
At least one (1) year of experience baking in a full-service or institutional food service environment.
High school diploma or equivalent (such as KCSE).
Possession of a valid ServSafe certification or an equivalent food safety qualification.
Good English communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and other personnel.
Must be in possession of a valid passport (valid for at least one year at the time of hire) and be able to travel internationally.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain these requirements for the duration of the deployment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain necessary facility credentials and authorizations.
