Healthy U, the leading health food and supplement provider in Kenya and Uganda with over 30 stores, is seeking an Internal Auditor. This role is responsible for overseeing the internal audit function, leading risk assessments, and ensuring robust internal controls across the company's operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead risk assessments, develop a risk map, and deliver an annual risk-based audit plan.
Build and implement the Internal Audit Charter, plus audit policies and procedures that strengthen controls and compliance.
Drive anti-fraud monitoring and prevention, working closely with functional heads, external auditors, and subject matter experts.
Conduct audits and investigations, report findings, and track corrective actions.
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and follow up on external audit recommendations.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
Professional certifications: CPA(K), ACCA, CISA, or CIA (required).
Mandatory certification in IT audits.
Membership in a relevant professional body.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience, including at least 5 years in a senior role.
Strong analytical, presentation, and investigation skills.
