Job Description
The County Government of Kakamega is seeking to recruit Information Communication Technology Officers II to perform a variety of ICT tasks. An officer at this level will be responsible for performing a variety of ICT work of limited scope and under the guidance of a senior officer. The role involves technical tasks ranging from software development and program coding to hardware maintenance and user support within the County Government infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities
Analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing computer programs and providing user support.
Maintaining support systems and training of users.
Repairing and maintaining information communication technology equipment and associated peripherals.
Receiving, installing, and certifying information communication technology equipment.
Configuring new information communication technology equipment.
Basic Salary and Terms of Service
Basic Salary: Kshs. 32,700 – 42,690 per month.
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Social Sciences, or any other approved qualification from a recognized university.
