Role Overview The scope of this consultancy is to support the coordination of the entire UNICEF-supported work plan with the Council of Governors (CoG) for the 2026-2027 period. The role focuses on intergovernmental mechanisms and select counties to enhance children's issues and interventions, ensuring that resources are increased and better utilized for equitable quality services. Ultimately, this position will drive upstream influencing, leverage the Government of Kenya’s (GoK) own resources and systems, and ensure a significant scale in the impact of devolved services for children. ### Key Responsibilities - Support the coordination of all UNICEF-supported work plans with the Council of Governors (CoG) 2026-2027. - Enhance intergovernmental mechanisms and select counties to prioritize children's issues and interventions. - Work towards increasing resource allocation and ensuring better utilization for equitable quality services for children. - Facilitate upstream influencing and leverage the Government of Kenya’s own resources and systems. - Ensure scalability in the impact of devolved services focused on child welfare. - Facilitate strategic planning and management within the framework of devolution and decentralization. ### Qualifications and Requirements - At least a Master's degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Planning, Management, Strategic Management, Devolution, Decentralization, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related studies. - At least 10 years’ working experience in issues related to public policy, public finance, devolution/decentralization, planning, management, statistics, and coordination. ### How to Apply Interested and qualified candidates should apply through the official recruitment portal at jobs.unicef.org.
