
Water Resources Authority
WRA is the lead agency in the Management of Water Resources in Kenya. In this capacity, WRA plays a vital role in regulating, managing, and equitably allocating national water resources to all users. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a Senior Officer.
The Hydrologist I is responsible for identifying, mapping, and developing surface water monitoring networks. This includes constructing, installing, and maintaining hydrological stations, collecting surface water data, analyzing results, and preparing comprehensive hydrological reports to ensure the equitable allocation of water resources.
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
Successful candidates will serve for a probationary period of six (6) months, thereafter converting to Permanent and Pensionable Terms of Service. Remuneration will be subject to the existing terms approved by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
