Job Description
Caritas Microfinance Bank is a licensed microfinance bank regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya. The bank offers a full range of innovative and customized financial services with a special focus on the unbanked and underbanked. The Human Resources Officer is responsible for administration across the full employee life cycle including support with the recruitment process, managing and maintaining employee data, and general correspondence.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the employees’ first point of contact for advice, guidance on HR-related matters, and respond to employee queries and requests.
Assist in compliance with Legal/Statutory and HR policies and guidelines within agreed standards and legislation.
Carry out HR transactional processes and procedures in recruitment, employee orientation and induction, payroll administration, leave administration, and employee relations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Post all job adverts on relevant platforms, download all CVs, and provide the first long list of applicants to the manager.
Ensure a smooth induction process through preparation of induction files, bio-data documentation, and ensuring tools and equipment are ready.
Ensure all staff are registered on the biometric system and HRMS.
Track confirmations and contract renewals and share updates with the HR Business Partner.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR-related data in all staff files.
Administer staff benefits including medical schemes and pensions by reviewing invoices.
Coordinate staff training logistics, motivation, and welfare activities.
Perform any other duties as assigned in line with the organization’s goals and objectives.
Qualification and Experience Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a degree from any other recognized institution.
Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management.
Possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
Be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner.
A person of high level of confidentiality and integrity.
Strong people management skills and attention to detail.
Conscious of data accuracy and completeness.
