A well-upcoming healthcare facility located in Maua, Meru County is seeking to recruit a highly experienced and results-oriented Human Resources Administrator to support its Human Resource and Administrative functions. Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Human Resources and Administration Department.
- Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop the HR and Administration team.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, and separation.
- Ensure compliance with the Employment Act, labour regulations, healthcare sector standards, and organizational HR policies.
- Oversee payroll administration, staff benefits, leave management, and statutory compliance.
- Advise management on HR strategy, workforce planning, organizational development, and talent management initiatives.
- Foster a positive employee relations culture and effectively handle disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Coordinate performance management processes and support departmental managers in achieving organizational objectives.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices that promote operational excellence.
- Oversee general administrative functions to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management.
- Membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and possession of a valid practising certificate will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years' progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
- Mandatory experience working in a hospital or healthcare facility.
- Demonstrated experience managing a workforce of approximately 100 employees, including engagement with 20 or more medical consultants/specialist staff.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws, HR best practices, and healthcare HR operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Age 35 years and above.
- Mature, decisive, and capable of leading multidisciplinary teams while supporting the hospital's strategic objectives.
